KG Business Services Ltd was founded in 2019 by our Director, Kevin Gallagher, driven by true grit and determination – the foundation of our success today.
Kevin spent 25 years in management roles across hospitality and betting shops and even owned his own pub. During this time, he was raising five young children and realised he was missing out on precious family moments with his wife, Amanda.
Kevin’s mum was a bookkeeper, and she suggested following in her footsteps. Inspired by his mum, Kevin returned to education to retrain as a bookkeeper, all while working full-time, raising a family, and coaching local football teams. Once qualified, he took on two of his mum’s clients – one of whom initially resisted but now insists Kevin can never leave her businesses!

Over the next 12–18 months, Kevin gradually reduced his hospitality work and built a client base that allowed him to become a full-time self-employed bookkeeper. Starting from home and shared office spaces, Kevin then founded KG Business Services Ltd in 2019, hired two staff members, and opened an office in South Elgin Street, Clydebank.
When Covid hit in March 2020, Kevin and his team worked tirelessly to help businesses survive – supporting clients with self-employed grants, furlough, and cash flow management. Helping others through such a challenging time became a core part of our mission.
By July 2021, the business had grown to six staff and moved to larger premises in Old Street, Duntocher. Continued growth and word-of-mouth recommendations led to another move in December 2023. Today, KG Business Services Ltd has a team of twelve, many of whom are friends and family.
Family values are at the heart of what we do, and we strive to create a supportive environment for both our team and our clients.
